Yes. Trained, registered psychologists can assess and diagnose adult ADHD using a structured clinical interview plus validated rating scales; our assessments are clinician-led and end with a signed report and clear next steps.
Do I need a GP referral for a private ADHD assessment?
No, a referral isn’t required; you can book directly and then share your report with your GP or psychiatrist to discuss care and any onward options.
Is an online ADHD assessment valid in Ireland?
Yes—when delivered by qualified clinicians via secure telehealth using recognised assessment protocols; our online process mirrors in-person clinical standards and produces a report suitable for GP,psychiatrist, college and employer use.
How much does a private ADHD assessment cost in Ireland?

Our transparent, staged pricing is €80 (first consultation), €400 (comprehensive assessment) and €450 (results + written report) — total €930; if clinically indicated we may add QbCheck (an objective computer-based test, and if medication is appropriate a separate external psychiatry consult (~€300) is paid directly to that clinic.

What happens during an adult ADHD assessment?
You’ll complete screening forms, attend a 45-minute consult to confirm suitability, have a 60 minute structured diagnostic interview with validated scales to assess symptoms, childhood onset and impact across settings, and finish with a 45 minute results session plus a signed report.
How long does it take to get my ADHD report?

Most clients receive their written report about two weeks after the final appointment; we confirm your delivery date at booking and operate a maximum service window of 4–6 weeks.

Will my ADHD report be accepted by my GP, psychiatrist, college or employer?

Yes; our reports are formatted for GPs, educational institutions and employers, include the tools used, diagnostic rationale and functional impact, and provide recommendations to support accommodations where appropriate.

Can I be assessed if I have anxiety, depression or suspected autism?
Yes; many adults present with overlapping symptoms, and we screen for common differentials—if another condition appears primary, we’ll explain findings and guide you to the most appropriate care.
What if I don’t meet diagnostic criteria for ADHD?
You’ll still receive a clear explanation and a practical action plan tailored to your needs, including strategies, resources and signposting to helpful supports.
Do you prescribe ADHD medication?
Medication decisions are made by a GP or psychiatrist; if appropriate, we guide your next steps and you may choose to see one of our partner psychiatrists (fees paid directly to that clinic).
Can I claim costs on insurance or tax in Ireland?
You may be able to claim medical expense tax relief; some private health insurers contribute to assessment costs—keep your receipt and check your policy for eligibility.
