Working in telehealth can be one of the best jobs for doctors who wish to prioritise a healthy work-life balance! Here at Webdoctor.ie, our GPs can organise their shifts to suit their work and family life. Most of our GPs work in 2 – 4 hour blocks at a time.
We are open from 8 am – 10 pm Monday to Friday and from 10 am – 6 pm on weekends and bank holidays, giving GPs the opportunity to select the best hours for them. We require a weekly working hour commitment of minimum 12+ hours and up to a maximum of 40 hours per week. We ask for a minimum commitment of up to 1 weekend day per month for those not regularly scheduled for the weekend, to help us meet patient demand.
Our software platform minimises the amount of administration required by our doctors so that you can start your shift on time, and finish on time!
This role also offers the flexibility of working from your own home or clinic and gives you the opportunity to consult with patients from all walks of life and from all over the country.
We are looking for dedicated doctors who have worked in the Primary Care setting, and who hold either registration on the IMC’s Specialist Register or the General Register with relevant experience (3 years).

Our Services
Our GP consultation service is predominantly video consultation-based. These are deemed to be safer than telephone consultations as you can visualise and hear your patient in high definition.
Consultations last from 8 to 10 minutes on average, with GPs having the choice to perform either 4 consultations or 5 consultations per hour based on their level of comfort.
Our patients can come to us directly or through their health insurance company.
We provide patients with a comprehensive primary care service that includes remote prescribing, specialist referrals, phlebotomy/ imaging referrals and medical certification, all where clinically appropriate.
We ensure all patients are aware of the limitations of telemedicine, and they are advised of conditions that are unsuitable for this consultation setting in advance.
